We have repaired the pond drain on #8. We brought in a diver and he got in the drain and cleaned out all of the debris that had it clogged. He used a high pressure hose to free some of the leaves and mud, but he had to pull out a lot of larger debris like limbs and sticks and even a putter. After this was done, we put a 42" pipe over the existing 36" pipe. This allowed us to use this new pipe to set the water level since the top of the old pipe was mangled. We put mud and gravel between the two pipes and put a new cover over the 42" pipe with a new screen on it. This should keep debris out of the drain.
Great job on fixing the pipes on #6 and #8. Our course is beautiful when these two lakes are full and the grass is green. Thanks for tackling this during the cold weather. Are there any plans to ever fix #18 where it will hold water and beautify this finishing hole?
ReplyDeleteWe are very glad we were able to get the ponds fixed. We have had a few experts come out to look at #18, but so far there doesn't look like there is a feasible way to repair it. The two main problems are the road into and out of the sub division and the water level in Lake Dow currently dictates the level of the pond on 18 due to the rusted out pipes. Once we can come up with a way to fix this, we would love to get it done.
